Ocean Shores. Brunswick Heads. New Brighton. Billinudgel. The whole Brunswick Valley, covered.
The Brunswick River and the open ocean are metres away for many Ocean Shores homes. Salt air and humidity are not occasional — they are constant.
Ocean Shores is a relaxed coastal suburb where many homes sit very close to either the beach or the Brunswick River. That proximity to the water means salt air and humidity are year-round realities for building materials, not just occasional challenges. Products that might last decades in an inland location will deteriorate significantly faster here without the right specification.
We work throughout Ocean Shores, Brunswick Heads, New Brighton, Billinudgel, Wooyung and Yelgun. These communities have different characters — Ocean Shores is more suburban, Brunswick Heads has a village feel with older housing, New Brighton and Billinudgel are quieter with a mix of rural and coastal residential properties. We are familiar with all of them and adjust our recommendations accordingly. We work alongside several builders who are active across the Brunswick Valley and are comfortable coordinating with them when required.
From the original homes in Brunswick Heads to newer Ocean Shores developments — each area has its own character.
Brunswick Heads has some of the oldest housing in our service area — original fibro and weatherboard homes from the fifties and sixties that are being renovated by new owners. Many of these homes still have their original windows, which are typically well past their useful life. Replacing them is usually the first major upgrade new owners undertake.
Ocean Shores itself is more recent — mostly development from the seventies onwards with a mix of brick and fibro construction. These homes are generally in reasonable condition but the windows and doors are aging and the coastal location means they are under more stress than their age would suggest.
New Brighton, Billinudgel and the surrounding areas are a mix of rural residential and hobby farm properties with larger blocks and a more varied building stock. We service these areas regularly and are familiar with the range of requirements they present.
Everything we supply is suited to the coastal and riverfront conditions of this area.
